At GG’s Gelato, we believe great gelato shouldn’t come at the planet’s expense. That’s why sustainability is a key part of everything we do—from sourcing ingredients to packaging and production. We’re constantly working to reduce our environmental impact while maintaining the quality and taste our customers love.
Responsibly Sourced Ingredients
We focus on using high-quality ingredients from responsible sources. Wherever possible, we partner with local suppliers to reduce food miles and support the community. Our dairy comes from trusted farms committed to ethical and sustainable farming. For flavours that require ingredients from further afield, like our Madagascan vanilla or Belgian chocolate, we carefully select suppliers who prioritize fair trade and sustainable harvesting methods.
Eco-Friendly Packaging
We’re working to reduce waste by using recyclable and biodegradable packaging materials. Our gelato tubs and spoons are designed to minimize environmental impact, and we’re always looking for better packaging solutions that balance sustainability with practicality.
Community & Environmental Initiatives
We support environmental initiatives and local community projects, with bi-weekly community litter picks starting from us and donating gelato to residential care homes. We believe businesses have a role to play in building a greener future, and we’re always looking for ways to contribute.
Reducing Food Waste
Food waste is a huge issue in the food industry, and we’re committed to doing our part to tackle it. We carefully plan production to avoid overstocking, and any excess gelato is repurposed. We also encourage our customers to store and enjoy their gelato responsibly to reduce unnecessary waste at home.
